The Puyallup Tribe operates a JCAHO-accredited ambulatory medical and dental care facility within the boundaries of the Puyallup reservation in the city of Tacoma. The program is operated under P.L. 93-638 authority and follows the general model of IHS health centers of similar size.

Inpatient care and referral specialty care are authorized for eligible individuals by the Managed Care Service also operated under P.L. 93-638 authority. The tribe also operates a residential substance abuse treatment facility adjacent to the health center. A dental lab, outreach service, mental health program, WIC/well child program, and nutrition programs supplement the ambulatory services of the tribal health authority.
