It is the mission of the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority to provide quality health care and promote wellness in a culturally appropriate manner.

The Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) was established in the early 1970's in response to a lack of consistent quality health care available to the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and all other Native Americans residing in Pierce County. As one of the first Indian "Self-Determination Clinics," the tribe's medical clinic has grown from a mobile home to occupying modern, attractive, and culturally designed buildings.

The staff of over 200 well-trained professionals and technicians provide nationally accredited health care to an active patient population exceeding 8,500.
